- Tips to be success in the interview or should I say what interviewer's look in a candidate????

You can treat this as: dummy guide for success in interviews, but this is not an sure shot answer to your success....So let's start:

=> Research the company. Interviewers don't want you have an idea on company's turnover or profit or any other rocket thing, however Interviewers hate it when you come for an interview without knowing the company's management, or its products, or it's competitors, company's vision/mission, or in that matter company's presence.

=> Introductory Speech: It doesn't matter how long you have with the interviewer, initial 2 minutes are break-or-make situation.

=> Most Important: Body language.

1) Don't be too stiff or sit upright nor too relaxed during interview,
2) don't fiddle with your hands or hair, I don't think one does so but you never knows ;),
3) don't show defensiveness by clasping your hands close to your chest,
4) resting one leg/ankle on other makes you look too arrogant,
5) eye contact should be direct, however don't over use the eye contact too; you have come for interview not for frightening the poor soul ;),
6) don't fumble in your voice, or simply don't be too excited and don't get dishearten if you think you have given the answer which interviewer wasn't looking forward to,
7) laughter is strictly no-no, control your nod/smile too,

=> Good Time-Keeping: Arrive 15 minutes earlier rather then 1 minute late. This will also help you gauge the culture of company, and you never knows if it can provide you potent answer too.

=> Dialogue is 2 way process: Treat the conversation as a approach to learn, learn the company dynamics, your job responsibilities, department process, employee recognition programmes, how you can help the company grow and vice a versa, etc. Just remember this doesn't gives you the right to ask for the salary figure or worse negotiate the salary. Remember, this is 50-50 dialogue; but don't over use your 50%.

=> Stick to the point: don't indulge in rubbish talk (like bad mouthing your ex employer, or how you think of the competition, or to be worse how you bullied someone during school days) or keep you cell phone on "Ringing/General" mode or talk politics.

=> Mindset: It's your job to market yourself but don't over-do it. Never hide your weaknesses, but be positively diplomatic in packaging your weaknesses (by positively diplomatic I mean don't hide the facts).

May be in future, I'll list down some tough-nut questions generally faced during an interview......
