Weekend trip from bengaluru to wayanad

First of all, I apologize for uploading the trip-log after a long time. This time, I have come to you with my experience journey from Bengaluru to Sterling Holidays, Wayanad, and back; in the form of trip details.

In fact, after Vansh coming into our life 3 years back; we have never taken a road trip - which is a stark reality to Myself and Tanu's life before Vansh.

So, coming to the 1st road experience with Vansh ------->

Car: Wagon R ZXI 1.2 Manual [I've seen many articles where people have raised questions about the drive of Wagon R on highways, but believe me I've taken many long rides in Wagon R and I can definately vouch for the road presence & performance]

Period: October 30 & 31, 2020. Checkout out on 1st November around 11.

From: Bannerghatta Road

To: Sterling Holidays, Wayanad

- Route summary onward & return: Bglr -> Nice Road -> Ramnagar -> Mandya -> Mysore -> Nanjangud -> Gundlupet -> Bandipur Forest -> Sterling Resorts

- Tolls onward & return: 1) Nice Road: Rs. 65 2) Mysore-Gundlupet: Rs. 50 3) KL Hundi: Rs. 25

- Checkpost onward & return: 1) Bandipur Forest

Things to remember:

1) E-Pass or Visitor Permit copies from Jagratha Portal, ongoing insurance, ongoing PUC certificate, and RC card.

2) Recharge Fastag [You can recharge it through Amazon].

3) After Mysore, there are hardly any good eateries/restaurants.

4) Forest is closed from night 8 to morning 6; so please plan your journey considering the timings.

5) Try to reach Bandipur forest route by 8:00-8:30 am; so you can have good sightings of animals, and if lucky then tiger too.

6) Resort is 5 km inside from the main road; so try to book the meals at the resort itself. Cost for a buffet meal of one person approx. Rs. 575.

Don't expect any hi-fi buffet with 30+ items, which you generally find in Bengaluru.

i) for lunch/dinner: it's a normal meal with 1 choice of soup [Veg & Non Veg], 1 starter, 1 salad, 2 subjis [Veg & Non Veg], 2 choice of breads [fulka/naan], 1 sweet dish and 1 ice cream

ii) for breakfast: juice, pancakes, uttapam, live sada/ghee dosa, tea/coffee, paratha, idly-sambhar, poori-subji

7) Try to wake up 30 mins before sunrise, and enjoy nature which is abundant in the resort [property is developed in 7 acres].

I came up with this detailed trip log, as I wasn't able to find the collated information in one place.
